Data Capture Specialists offers service and maintenance for all of the equipment we sell. We also can
offer maintenance for older gear or legacy equipment no longer in production in most cases. In an effort to help our
customers get the most of their "IT" dollars we will help you decide what gear should continue to be repaired and
which items may actually be cheaper in the long run to replace. Our repair depot has thousands of spare parts for terminals
and scanners going back more than 10 years. We also offer upgrades and refurbishing of legacy products.
Below
you will find descriptions of our most popular repair programs. You can follow the link at the bottom of this page to
create your own log-in and see which products we repair, or request an RA (Return Authorization). If
you are looking for a yearly service contract please call us to discuss your needs.
Time
& Materials Repair (T&M)
You will ship the equipment to be repaired to our repair facility.
Shipping costs to our facility are the customers responsibility. We quickly evaluate the unit(s) and notify you
electonically that an online estimate is available for approval. Normal turnaround time is 2-4 working days excluding
transit time.
Flat Rate Repair Program
You are responsible for
shipping to our repair depot. The unit(s) will be repaired at a flat fee, excluding acessories and abuse and returned
back to you. We have flat rate categories for scanners and portable data terminals: Major and
Minor. A determination will be made as to which category applies to a given unit by one of our senior
technicians when it arrives. You can provide a purchase order online at the same time you are requesting an RA to ensure
quick repair service, or we will notify you electronically that an online estimate is available after your unit(s) are evaluated.
Repair times are usually 2-4 business days.
Depot Maintenance Program
(see our ASP model under "Take a Tour")
A maintenance contract is purchased
for a period of time of no less than one year and covers all parts and labor used to maintain your covered equipment.
Maintenance Agreements premiums may be paid monthly, quarterly or annually in advance of service. All equipment must
be in good working order prior to the enrollment in this program. Shipping costs to our depot are the responsibility
of the customer. We will pay the return shipping back to your designated location via UPS ground or equivalent.
Normal turn around time is 1-2 business days for this option, and other shipping arrangements can be made. All units
covered under our maintenance agreement come with free telephone support. You must have at least 10 terminals to choose
the Depot Maintenance Program. Portable data collections terminals are eligible for application RE-LOAD by our team
at no charge before they ship back to your location. You would need to provide us with this information ahead of time. With our new Asset Tracking software you can keep track of all your equipment by store number or site location including
any spare pool gear we may be maintaining for you. Complete visibility of all your assets under contract, repair history,
current location, status of repair or RA, tracking numbers while in transit and much more. Don't settle for less,

Warranty:
All repairs performed are warranted against materials and workmanship for 60 days from the time they leave our facility.
Our repairs cover all labor and only applies to the components and parts that were worked on when they were last here.
Your units will be repaired, aligned, calibrated to factory specs, and cleaned before they are returned.
Be sure to supply us with your software application and site configurations if
you would like us to restore them before we return your repaired equipment. This allows you to open the box and issue
out the newly repaired terminal(s) without having to have your IT staff configure the terminal back to its custom settings.
